This item was quick to install but supply four inches of extra space in our laundry space because it allowed not only the dryer but even the washer to go back against the wall and be aligned with the dryer.
Warning...the box is designed for installation prior to the sheetrock goes on. No instructions are offered to install it in an current wall. I had to heavily modify the box - I cut off the install tabs and enlarged the box's tube hole to get it on the challenging metal vent coming down the wall. Plus it was very challenging to cut the metal vent inside the 3 1/2" wide wall devoid of damaging the sheetrock. For all the difficulty I only eliminated 1 90 degree turn, so not sure the box was worth it. Suggest employing a box certainly developed for aftermarket use with far better install instructions.
