There're a number of attributes about the Avanti portable dryer model, D-110-1 and some not so terrific. First, the unit is rather light weight (40 lbs) which tends to make it particularly transportable. I bought a dryer venting box for inside venting, but located I didn't want it. This unit doesn't put off significantly heat or moisture(much less than a compact pot of boiling water) or lint, considering that it has duel filters(significantly more on these later). The amount of heat is a lot much less than a full size dryer yet gets the clothes dry in a gentle but fairly decent time frame. It aids to dry, comparable materials together, keeping in mind jeans will take a bit longer. Clothes come out wrinkle free, and not burning hot like larger dryers, which means substantially much less damage to your clothes. It's a fairly impressive dryer. Never ever over-fill the dryer, clothes will not dry in a timely fashion. The dryer does not have a dryer signal to alert you upon completion of the cycle. But it does have Hot, Warm and Air Only cycle plus a cool down setting to maintain your clothes from wrinkling if you don't get to it right away. All the bells and whistles my complete size had.
Upon initial install the unit gave a horrible screeching sound, I pulled the back off and found the belt(quite thin a single) was not on adequately, produced adjustment. It appeared to be fixed but soon soon after unit once once again would squeak and squeal, creating it impossible to be in the space when it was operating. 4 months into use, the noise went away on it really is own.
The dryers filter method is somewhat daunting but it does serve a goal to preserve lint out of your residence, if you pick indoor venting. There are many layers of filters and one particular that will need to have to be replaced after some time is a wool like material that immediately after five months of use. I've had a tough time locating replacements. I've searched the internet, to make sure I had extra components on hand like added belts because the 1 that drives the unit is incredibly thin. I've not identified any parts houses that carry Avanti components and the manual does not give buyers with a components list or schematic. Making components identification tricky. I did acquire a similar "filter" material at the fabric store and made my personal, and they appear to perform superior. I found the Avanti filter is the identical as the Haier HLP140E transportable dryer filter.
All in all I really enjoy the convenience and appearance of the Avanti dryer. And hope they have far better availability for parts and filters in the future. I took off 1 star for the noise and poor components availability.
UPDATE: 12/28/11, Just after locating a parts (blowout) list, for this dryer. I created an attempt to order additional replacement components, through Avanti. Ordering the components from the quantity in the included catalog was straight forward, but immediately after a month of waiting for "in-stock" components I named as soon as once more to check the status, and got the run about. I waited yet another two weeks, and nonetheless no parts. When I named the third time, I was told they "just" were place into stock that moment, and they would "expedite" the shipment. While I was not impressed with the Parts availability from the get started, I was certainly let down by the delay and run-about the parts department gave me. I even lessened the amount of filters and belts I ordered to assure faster delivery, considering that the parts division informed me of the total number they had in stock. I believe, I'll shop for my filters and components through Haier rather than Avanti, considering that they are the exact same component, but various makers. Avanti desires improved service badly.

Fantastic dryer for tiny spaces. only uses 110v outlet. Takes a tiny longer to dry but worth the wait. For the reason that it doesn't over dry, clothes come out soft even with out dryer sheets. It is a little noisy but I rather deal with the noise than going to public laundremat. The lint filter fills up rapid so clean it soon after every single load. The filter is a tiny tricky to eliminate but just after a few cleanings you get the hang of it. I did not want to mount it on the wall so I utilized bed risers to raise it off the floor so I don't have to bend more than so substantially. the risers perform outstanding!
